Perinatal Therapy

Our perinatal therapy offers a compassionate place to land before, during, and after pregnancy-for birthing parents, partners, and anyone adjusting to life with a new baby. We know this season can bring joy and also deep fear, sadness, anger, or numbness. None of those feelings mean you are failing; they mean you are human and under enormous strain.

As a clinician with specialized training in perinatal mental health, we understand how hormones, birth experiences, trauma histories, sleep deprivation, and relationship stress can collide. Together we sort through symptoms like anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, or feeling disconnected from your baby or partner. We take these experiences seriously while also reducing shame, using clear education and gentle validation.

Sessions may focus on processing birth trauma, navigating fertility challenges or loss, rebuilding intimacy, or finding your identity again amid diapers, appointments, and shifting roles. We include partners whenever helpful, recognizing that they often carry their own unspoken worries and, at times, depressive symptoms.

Perinatal therapy also supports broader life adjustments. Maybe you have moved, changed jobs, become a caregiver for an elder, or are blending families at the same time you are parenting a little one. We help you name what is changing, grieve what you have lost, and build routines and boundaries that fit your real life instead of an idealized version.

You will learn practical coping tools-grounding, nervous‑system calming, communication skills for hard conversations, and ways to ask for support that others can actually respond to. We move at your pace, honoring culture, history, and family structure.

Our deepest aim is that you leave each session feeling a bit less alone and a bit more confident that you can meet this new chapter, not perfectly, but with support and self‑compassion.
